2014 LA RATA

The 2014 La Rata sourced fruit from the Armada, En Cerise and La Paciencia Vineyards. The blend is 53% percent Grenache, 34 percent Cabernet-Sauvignon and 13% Syrah. 138 cases produced.

"95 Points. This is the first year where Elizabeth decided to add Syrah ....Vinified all in concrete, it was aged in second fill puncheons and stainless steel. Peppery herbs, iron, blackcurrant and even a hint of graphite give way to a rich, full-bodied, elegant and downright seamless red that builds on the palate, has fine tannin, beautiful mid-palate depth and a great finish. Like many wines from this estate, it shows more and more purity with time in the glass, as well as a violet/floral character and tons of salty minerality that I adore. It's the finest vintage for this cuvee to date and is going to drink nicely for 15 years." —Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate

"95 Points." —Sean Sullivan, Wine Enthusiast
